Do Animals Think That We Are Gds?

In a chatroom on AOL, a friend of mine posited that animals think we are Gds because they treat us like we are Gds. I recently asked my wife the same question, and got a different answer. She thought that animals are completely unable to conceive of the idea of Gd. That much I imagine is probably true. A creature needs to have a certain amount of smarts to conceive of activities worthy of a deity.
Frankly, I don’t think most humans are able to conceive of the idea of Gd. Most humans are either to dumb, idol worshippers for the sake of popularity, and/or smart people jaded by their own abilities.
1. With respect to people that just aren’t smart enough to faith, it is not that I do not believe that there vessel, meaning their body, is not permeated by holy Light, but it is that they simply do not have an IQ high enough.
That might sound small minded, but I have had a professional IQ assessment of my intelligence, and more than just knowing that my intelligence is superior, I know that others must not have been able to give correct answers to questions I thought most people knew the answers to. Thus, because I know these answers, I am baffled by the prevalence of those unable to answer such simple questions, and that gives me the idea that animals, and some humans may not be intelligent enough to conceive of the idea of a Gd. However, that is not the only command, as I will show that there are commands other than faith below.
2.       With respect to popularity and idol worshipping, this is something that Christians do. Christianity suffers from the belief that Jesus is Gd (heaven forefend that this is the case, but nonetheless it is the case). These idol worshippers are living long lives though because outside of idol worship many of them are good people, and Hashem only knows their heart when He visits them on their death bed, as it is said, “Gd visits the sick.”
I, myself, feel lucky that Hashem visited me when I was very sick, and not only that, I got hope that my condition could improve and it did. I believe Hashem visits the sick because only when one is so weak and humble is he or she ready to receive the message of the L-rd in its fullest sense. That is, I would expect most people would take such information lightly had these visits come during others times.
3.   With respect to intellectuals and the intelligent, and here mainly I am speaking of doctors, especially those whom are atheists, it only makes sense to me that because they heal and experiment with their very hands, as if Gd did not exist that they actually come to believe the existence of Gd is not necessary. This is because it is said to act as if Gd did not exist when healing, and not to send someone on their way with only a prayer if at all possible.
So coming back to cats. I like feral cats. I like to heal, and by their actions feral cats show that they believe in a cruel harsh existence far different from the well taken care of domestic cat. Don’t get me wrong, it is not that I don’t like domesticated cats. I hope that there is a warm and loving home for every domesticated cat, and I own two of them, and they, these kitties, continue giving and have given so much love. However, there are many cats out there that only know of a cruel existence, and though perhaps there is no hope for the adult feral cats, meaning that love can’t pierce into their hardened hearts, I have hope for feral kittens.
Sometimes a feral kitten can be taken in and shown that life doesn’t have to be quite so hard. In that way, when cats are able to give up their predatory diet of blood and guts, in favor of more humanely slaughtered meat, in fact dry food, as in Leviticus it is a blessing to eat old produce (Leviticus 26), it is as if they have chosen Hashem’s way, where lovingkindness is central to the harmony, and foundation of seeing the less cruel side of nature. That is, we as humans, like cats, especially those who take Torah seriously are able to live idealistic lives, and it is only because we have chosen and continue to choose the way of Hashem.
Do cats believe that we are Gods again...I can only ponder that.
