***** The Thirteen Petalled Rose by Adin Steinsaltz – History Should Remember This Work Fondly

After reading this book, I definitely have to concede that it deserves a spot among my top 10 most favorite books though admittedly it is not #1.  Steinsaltz is probably the Maimonides of his generation.  The words of The Thirteen Petalled Rose exude like a magnificent display of fireworks.  However, The Thirteen Petalled Rose is a very difficult book.  Adin Steinsaltz is not easy reading.  I would say that it is his precision that makes this work difficult to comprehend in the same way I felt The Essential Talmud was difficult to comprehend.  I guess that much does not need to be said, for those are the people who will purchase this book, take a crack at reading it, become frustrated, and put it down.  Given the popularity of Kaballah, that is how the author will get much of his funds.  However, I don’t believe that was his mission at all, for as we know, not all pennies are created equal.

I wanted a hard copy of this work because I knew from the other rave reviews of this work that I wanted to have a printed copy of it, rather than just an electronic book.  If someone spots this book on my shelf, and has heard of it, I think it seeing its presence will possibly spur great conversations.

That I was able to read it, and benefit from it is probably due to all those countless hours I have toiled in Tanya study.  Otherwise, I may have become overwhelmed.  Additionally, The Thirteen Petalled Rose should not take the place of daily Tanya study though it has some information that the Tanya does not, and it is key information, especially since I can’t consider myself frum from birth.

12th Zerah: 15 Reasons to believe Milesians were a Priestly caste of converts from Edom

Regarding the “late fictitious genealogy” (Hoeh) with respect to the Milesians and Magog, a nation of Japheth, the existence of this genealogy is the reason that the Milesians are often not listed as being Semites in genealogies.  Magog was among the Semites, “in the tents” as it is written, but the Milesians were Semites, themselves.  There is strong reason to believe that the “late fictitious genealogy” is a deduction of the Christian work, “Revelation,” where Magog is reasonably placed at one of the corners of the earth with respect to their gathering for Armageddon, as Ireland is one of the 4 corners of the earth.  I was unable to find a work that said all Scythians were of Magog.  Thus, it is likely that some people Scythia, specifically the Milesians where not of the nation of Japheth.
1.     An ancestral connection of the Semites to Milesius (Miledh) is made by Eber (Eibher) Scot of Scythia.  Eber means Hebrew.  Also, note the similarity between the words Scythia and Scot.
2.    The connection is also made through the Iberia, which also stems from the word Eber, as in the Iberian Peninsula, which is Europe.
3.    Following the migration route and a genealogy of Irish kings, Ethan the Ezrahite, son of Zerah who was a Hebrew was associable with the priesthood (Cohenim) in Persia.
4.    Ireland and Scotland are essentially the ends of the earth, and thus places Israelites are likely to be found.  Search “end of the earth” in Tanach for more.
5.    Psalm 89 associates Hermon (Heremon), the descendent of Ethan the Ezrahite with the House of David, which the Irish Poem of Leinster records, where Hermon and Q. Tea Tephi, the daughter of Zedekiah became the ancestors of Irish nobles, and Psalm 133 records the ascendency of these nobles.  This is also evidence of a migration from Persia to Ireland, associable with the Milesians.
6.    Psalm 133 also associates Hermon with Aaron, and thus Hermon is a priest and king, continuing the priestly line that began with the Persian empire.  See #3.
7.    Plenty of sources indicate that it has not been until recent generations that the Scottish highlanders have been consumers of pork, indicating observance of Jewish laws.
8.    That the Scottish highlanders are often considered to be as ruffians also traces them to Edom, specifically, Zerah, son of Reuel son of Esau and Basemath daughter of Ishmael.
9.    The observance of Jewish laws and earmarks of the Edomites, further suggests that this group is in Scotland is the Zerahites.
10.  Also, the lion used by Scottish nobility is a continuation of fact that the Milesians used a shield with 3 lions to designate nobility, where such practice of using lions as symbols is also associable with the tribe of Judah.
11.   The Milesians used a Crimson Branch as symbolism for the Milesian Royal House, also identifying them with the scarlet thread of the Zerahites.
12.  The Scottish highlands are not densely populated (survival off the land is possible) and have historically been a place where property is minimal, which is also associable with the activity of Levites.
13.  The Milesian Royal House is not as white skinned as Magog among them.  The Milesian Royal house has some red/brown skin tones, indicating that they are Semites.
14.  That the Scots have been technological innovators indicates that Azariah, a priestly Zerahite, and name in Milesian ancestries was among them.
15.  Azariah son of Ethan son of Zerah is in the these genealogies (Hoeh), which First Chronicles says would make some of them priestly.

11th Zerah: Migrations to Ireland and Scotland as Milesians, Including Davidic Connections

This work is primarily commentary on Herman Hoeh’s Compendiums of World History.  I start by quoting the text directly and then comment upon it.  Herman Hoeh is not the only source for this information, but he is the best source, especially for synthesizing the information of the ancient texts.

“A late fictitious
genealogy going back to Magog arose in monkish times from the known
fact that Hebrews once dwelt in Scythia, which was also inhabited by
Magog,” Herman Hoeh.

Hoeh is probably incorrect that this Catholic genealogy was “late.”  The nations of Japheth are to dwell in the tents of the Semites.  Thus, this applies to Ireland, as it would anywhere else.  Magog is one of Japheth’s nations.  Perhaps, Protestant versus Catholic prejudices played a role in Hoeh’s thinking.

According to the historians, Ireland was settled in six waves, ordered 1 through 6 below.

1.      Wave 1:
“According to Irish history the first claim to Irish soil was made
by Nin mac Piel — that is Irish for the Assyrian king Ninus, son of
Bel or Belus. But no permanent settlement was established.”

2.      Wave 2:
“No Irish historian professes to know when the Formorians came to
Ireland.”

3.      Wave 3:
“In 2068 Parthalon and a band of Hebrew warriors arrived from the Greek world and established a settlement at Inis Saimer, a small island in the
river Erne, at Ballyshannon. Thirty years later — 2038 -Parthalon died
and the land was divided between his four sons; Er, Orba, Ferann, and
Fergna (p. 120) (p, 118).”

Note:  I generally question all of Hoeh’s dates, but I have yet to be able to posit much of a dating system that goes back more than 3,000yrs, back to the reign of David.  For example, I believe that Hoeh’s history of ancient Egypt that is almost certainly incorrect.  This is the first Scythian/Semitic wave, where Semite means one of the nations that descend from Shem.

4.      Wave 4:
“A second and related wave of migrants came into Ireland from
Scythia...  The migrants from Scythia at this period were called Nemedians,
after Nemedh, the leader of the expedition. They dwelt in Ireland for
216 years — 1708-1492.  The Fir-Bolgs set up a kingship upon their conquest of the Formorians. From Keating a list of Fir-Bolg rulers may be obtained (pp. 131-132).”

5.      Wave 5:
“The Tuatha-De-Danann of Keating's
"History" were none other than the tribe of Dan, and the invaders from
Syria were the armies of Jabin king of Canaan!... The
total length of Danite dominion in Ireland before the coming of the
royal house of the Milesians was 440 years — 1456-1016 (p. 168).”
"Forty years above four hundred,
There were, since came the tribes of Dana
Across the straits of the great sea,
Till Miledh's sons first heard dread Ocean
His music beat on Eri's shores."
“Keating
continues (p. 139): "When the Tuatha-De-Danann had remained seven
years in the north of Scotland (or Alba), they passed over to Ireland and
landed in the north of this country."
6.      Wave 6:
“The most famous ancestor of the Milesians was Eibher Scot —
Eber of Scotia, of Scythia — identifying the Milesians as sons of
Eber, or Hebrews. The children of Eber early settled in the regions of
Scythia, and gave their name to Iberia, a region in the Caucasus in
Classical times. The generations between Eber and Milesius are not
completely preserved in any Irish annals — the records are complete
only after the coming of the Milesians to Ireland”
Note1:  The ancestry below is in Compendium of World History Vol. 2 reference to the Bible and Stokvis' Manuel.  This ancestry already appears in another one of my notes on Azariah.  Mileadh had Milesian ancestry.

Note2:  Sources other than Hoeh also report that of the semi-legendary waves of migrations to Ireland that the Milesians were the 6th.  That the tribes of Dan and Judah might be found in Ireland should not be surprising, as the Torah reports that the tribes would be scattered to the ends of the earth and that Ireland is definitely an end of the earth.  Also Yair Davidiy says verses in the Tanakh that suggest that the lost tribes will be found on islands increasing the probability that at least some of these reported semi-legendary waves of immigration actually occurred.
Note: I am unsure of the Ezra in the above ancestry and wonder if it is in fact an error.
“The realm of Ireland was now divided between
the two surviving sons of Milesius — Ebher and Ghedhe the Ereamhon
(or Heremon)… The Tea who married Ghedhe the Heremon was a daughter of Lughaidh, the son of Ith, uncle of Miledh (also spelled Mileadh). That is exactly what Irish history records. These events occurred in David's reign, not Zedekiah's. What did happen after Zedekiah's reign will be made plain shortly.”
“According to this Masonic tradition, a Prince Eochaid of Ireland
came to Jerusalem several years before 585. He was present during the
siege. This Eochaid (meaning Knight) was none other than Oilioll
Olchaoin, the son of Siorna Saoghlach mac Dian called the Heremon.
Eochaid was blood royal of the Milesian Zarah line. After the fall of
Jerusalem he married Zedekiah's daughter, named in the Masonic
tradition Tea Tephi, of the Pharez line. They fled in 585 with Jeremiah
and Baruch to Egypt.”
Note3: Thus, there is a matriarchal line (Tea Tephi) in Ireland as well, descended from the House of David.
The abbreviations after the names indicate from
which branch of the Milesians the king descended. "Er." is the line of
Ghedhe the Ereamhon; "Eb." is Ebher, brother of Ghedhe the Ereamhon;
"Ith" is the line of Ith or Itha, brother of Miledh or Mileadh; "Irw"
is the line of Ir, another (uncrowned) brother of Eber and Gede.
In 503 a migration to Scotland established the direct line of
Eremon in the new land.

10th Zerah: Who the hell is Ethan in the Bible?

The first “he” refers to Solomon.  Ethan is an Ezrahite.
First Kings 5 (11) For he was wiser than all men: than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Calcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol; and his fame was in all the nations round about.
Ezra is associable with the Persian priesthood.  Before coming to Scotland, these Zerahites were Persians.
Ezra 7 (1) Now after these things, in the reign of Artaxerxes king of Persia, Ezra the son of Seraiah, the son of Azariah, the son of Hilkiah,
Ezra is also a scribe.
Ezra (11) Now this is the copy of the letter that the king Artaxerxes gave unto Ezra the priest, the scribe, even the scribe of the words of the commandments of YHWH, and of His statutes to Israel:
Psalm 89 is related to Ethan the Ezrahite.
Psalm 89 (1) Maschil of Ethan the Ezrahite.
Ethan the Ezrahite is associable with the House of David.
Psalm 89 (4) I have made a covenant with My chosen, I have sworn unto David My servant:
Psalm 89 thus identifies Hermon with Ethan the Ezrahite.  This is probably the same Hermon as the one that married Q. Tea Tephi daughter of Zedekiah.  This is Ghedhe the Ereamhon (or Heremon) by Hermon Hoeh.
Psalm 89 (13) The north and the south, Thou hast created them; Tabor and Hermon rejoice in Thy name.
The following is a genealogy reported by Herman Hoah that includes the Hermon that married Q. Tea Tea, daughter of Zedekiah, and Ethan the Ezrahite.  Note the placement of Ezra as the son of Zerah is probably incorrect.  It is probably that both Ezra and Ethan were spiritual fathers to Azariah.

The generations between Milesius (Mileadh) and Hermon are missing according to Herman Hoeh.  This is possibly a reason I have had difficulty in tracing my ancestry back past a non-paternal event associable with the Lairds of Cadzow, one of which who raised my ancestor even though my ancestor was not his own.  Some of this may be associable with the religious madness that caused the peerage to comment of Claud Hamilton, my ancestor, that religious madness is an apparently inherited sickness of my family.
Ethan the Ezrahite appoints his son, which is probably also a reference to Edom being born before Jacob, to be the King of Kings.
Psalm 89 (28) I also will appoint him first-born, the highest of the kings of the earth.
Psalm 133 also associates Hermon with the throne, specifically the House of David and the priesthood (Aaron).  Ascents refers to ascendance to the throne and immortality.
Psalms Chapter 133 (1) A Song of Ascents; of David. Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! (2) It is like the precious oil upon the head, coming down upon the beard; even Aaron's beard, that cometh down upon the collar of his garments; (3) Like the dew of Hermon, that cometh down upon the mountains of Zion; for there YHWH commanded the blessing, even life for ever.
Hermon is also a mountain and the valley before it is Arnon.
Deuteronomy 3 (8) And we took the land at that time out of the hand of the two kings of the Amorites that were beyond the Jordan, from the valley of Arnon unto mount Hermon –
There is more than one Hermon, provided that this s indicates that Hermon is plural (usually “im” denotes the plural in Hebrew).  This might indicate that the Hermons are not Hebrews.  Herman Hoeh knows of two Hermon’s, one married Q. Tea Tephi, the other was mentioned in the literature of bards, and thus this s might in fact be an attempt at producing comedy.
Psalm 42 (7) O my God, my soul is cast down within me; therefore do I remember Thee from the land of Jordan, and the Hermons, from the hill Mizar.
The Canaanite, the Amorite, the Hittite, the Perizzite, and the Jebusite are servants of the Hermon that married Q. Tea Tephi.
Joshua 11 (3) to the Canaanite on the east and on the west, and the Amorite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Jebusite in the hill-country, and the Hivite under Hermon in the land of Mizpah.
Selah is associable with the Shelahites, and thus the Jewish people.  The Shelahites are Semite, but not always Hebrew, but become the sons of Judah via Shua.  Ethan the Ezrahite tells the following to Selah.
Psalm 89 (5) For ever will I establish thy seed, and build up thy throne to all generations.' Selah
The following is promised for the son of Ethan the Ezrahite after his blessing of Selah.
Psalm 89 (37) His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before Me. (38) It shall be established for ever as the moon; and be stedfast as the witness in sky.' Selah
The rock of salvation (Psalm 89), Selah [a servant from Canaan] (Psalm 89) the valley of Arnon (Deuteronomy), and the mountain of Hermon (Deuteronomy, Psalm 89) is associated with Ethan the Ezrahite.  These three things are associable with my name, Craig, which means rocky crag in Gaelic.  This provides yet another lingual connection between the Scots and the Semites.
Psalms 89 (27) He shall call unto Me: Thou art my Father, my God, and the rock of my salvation.
Ethan is a Zerahite, and thus of the tribe of Judah.
First Chronicles 2 (6) And the sons of Zerah: Zimri, and Ethan, and Heman, and Calcol, and Dara: five of them in all
Ethan is the father of a priest (Azariah).
First Chronicles 2 (8) And the sons of Ethan: Azariah.
Ethan is also mentioned among the Levites.  This fits because he is a Scottish patriarch.
First Chronicles 6 (26) the son of Ethni, the son of Zerah, the son of Adaiah; (27) the son of Ethan, the son of Zimmah, the son of Shimei; (28) the son of Jahath, the son of Gershom, the son of Levi. (29) And on the left hand their brethren the sons of Merari: Ethan the son of Kishi, the son of Abdi, the son of Malluch;
Ethan is a singer, and can sing through a microphone.
First Chronicles 15 (19) So the singers, Heman, Asaph, and Ethan ,were appointed, with cymbals of brass to sound aloud;

9th Zerah: Azariah of the Zerahites Tribal Affiliations – True Diversity

1:1   Azariah is reported to be a patriarch of the Scottish people.  I talk more about that in the following note/blog: Semi-Legendary Migrations to Ireland and Scotland, Especially Those By the Milesian Israelites.

1:2  Azariah is a Zerahite patriarch, which has certain implications for his tribal associations.  This patriarch Azariah is thought to be a reason for the success of the Scots as a nation that has produced numerous innovators, meaning that the laws for Cohenim are deeply associable with physical understanding of the universe even beyond the actions that a healer might engage in, where the Israelite caste qualifies to be a healer.  For example, the inventor of the television was Scottish.

1:3  That Azariah is associable with many tribes indicates a great deal of effort on the part of Azariah to master Torah.  These various designations probably indicate that Azariah appears different to some people.  Sometimes such a person might be observing the laws of nobles, sometimes he might be observing priestly laws, sometimes he might appear as a wicked Edomite, and so on.

Azariah’s Further Immersion in the Tribe of Levi (Note: Reverse from Jewish Typical Ordering [oldest first])
First Chronicles Chapter 6
(21) the son of Elkanah, the son of Joel, the son of Azariah, the son of Zephaniah; (22) the son of Tahath, the son of Assir, the son of Ebiasaph, the son of Korah; (23) the son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, the son of Israel.
Perhaps the reverse order came from associating Azariah with either Christianity or idolatry.  For example, it is taught that Edomites where idolaters, but it is thought that while Zerahites might become idolaters they flee from their idolatrous ways rather than engage in sin!  Keep in mind the tractate Avodah Zerah of the Talmud means strange worship, such as the subject of idolatry.  I know that personally, I believe myself to be a Zerahite, and that I committed idolatry.  However, I hated the idol and fled from it, never worshiping it.  With Gd’s help, and my constant study and worship of Gd, may I continually earn Gd’s blessings.

7th and 8th Zerah: Viking Zerahites and Milesian Zerahites in Scotland, Azariah Patriarch of the Scots

1:1  Regarding Israel as the center (Talmud) helps find the extremities of the earth.  Israelites at times will be scattered to the earth’s ends (Deuteronomy 28:64).  Thus, Norway, Scotland and Ireland should be examined for lost Israelite tribes.
1:2  Before I have talked about the following members Genetic Haplogroup I1 migrated from the Middle East to Norway (Wikipedia: Haplogroup I1), becoming the Vikings.  This was not the Milesians because the Milesians took a different route, through Spain.  We can be sure that the Viking migration occurred recently for three reasons.
1:2a  The first is that in Norway, Middle Eastern runes were discovered that are not dated to BCE (David K. Faux).
1:2b.  The second is of course the evidence of DNA via the Y chromosome.
1:2c  Third, in written ancestries, Viking rulers descend from Dara (Dardanus [Iliad] founder of the Royal House of Troy), son of Zerah (Zeus [Iliad]) of the tribe of Judah/Jupiter (First Chronicles, Persian mythology) through Minon (Langfedgatal), who is Memnon (Theogony, Hesiod) son of Tithonus (The Trojan Women, Euripides), son of Laomedon (Iliad) of the Royal House of Troy in mythology.  This line migrated away from Israel when Chaldean Magi (plural) came from the Persian Empire c. 50 CE, met Jesus in Israel and took a different route home (Gospel of Matthew) and ended up in Northern Europe (Poetic Edda).  This lineage below is given by John D. Keyser of Hope of Israel Ministries (Temple City, CA), where the fact that Jacob father of Judah is Saturnus of Krit is also defended:
1/. SATURNUS OF KRIT
2/. JUPITER
3/. DARIUS
4/. ERICHHONIUS
5/. TROES
6/. ILUS
7/. LAMEDON
8/. PRIAM -- KING OF TROY
9/. MINON (MEMNON)
10/. THOR
11/. EINRIDI
12/. VINGETHORR
13/. VINGENER
14/. MODA
15/. MAGI – “The Magi mentioned in Mat 2:1 were not magicians in the ordinary sense of the word. They belonged to a religious caste, the followers of Zoroaster, the astrologers of the East. (Easton’s Bible Dictionary)”
16/. SESKEF (SESCEF)
A study of Danish literature reveals that SESKEF, sometimes spelled SCEAF, is a TITLE OF ODIN. What does this title mean? Seskef, or Sceaf, literally means a "sheaf" of grain. ODIN claimed to be a kind of lord, or savior, and laid claim to being THE SHEAF represented in Leviticus 23:9-14 ,as symbolically referring to the MESSIAH!” - THE TROJAN ORIGINS OF EUROPEAN ROYALTY!

2:1   Despite the Viking migration of Haplotype H, Herman L. Hoeh tells us, Azariah, son of Ethan, son of Zerah (First Chronicles) is a Scottish patriarch.

2:2  There is also another unlikely proposed lineage that traces those in that Hamilton clan of Scotland, 2nd only to the Stewart clan among the Scottish Highlanders, that possess the Haplogroup I1, to Norway and the Middle East (Google: Hamilton DNA Project).
2:3  The unlikely groups is as follows: some sources say King Bernard “Le Danios” whose ancestors would have been the Vikings, is the progenitor of the House of Beaumont in France (BIHallchamps_Beaumont_.pdf [available on the internet]) and the House of Harcourt in Germany (Wikipedia: King Bernard Le Danois).  Because fatherhood often results in the passing down of Y chromosomes that Dara and Azariah would be both Haplogroup I1 makes sense, after all First Chronicles lists them both (Dara and Azariah) as coming from the tribe of Judah.
2:4  Historically, the Scottish Highlanders haven’t eaten pork until the last hundred years (www.britam.org [quotes several sources]), are brutish (John of Fordun, 1380 CE) indicating their Edomite heritage, are technological inventors [ex. A Scot invented television], and the royals use lion symbolism; all earmarks of Zerahites.  Some are also Haplogroup I1.  The ancestry matches too!
2:5  Herman Hoeh tells us that Azariah is a patriarch of the Scots, “The line of Mileadh, in Irish records, properly begins with Easru in Egypt. The name Easru is Old Irish for Ezra or Azariah,” and, “The previous volume of the Compendium established the significant
fact that the symbol of the line of Easru and Mileadh was the Crimson
or Red Branch -- signifying the royal line Zarah, Judah's son (Genesis
38:30),” (Compendium of World History Vol. 2, Herman L. Hoeh).
2:6  Hoeh also gives the line of Judah that that was Israelite (1 Chronicles 2:8), king (1 Chronicles 3:12), high priest (1 Chronicles 5:35), and Levite (1 Chronicles 6:21) that left from Ireland to Scotland.

6th Zerah: Edom Destroyed?

1:1  From the other books/chapters of Zerah I have written, it should be known that first in Genesis, Zerah is mentioned as a part of Edom.

1:2  Edom is a clan usually considered to be wicked that descended from Isaac the son of Abraham, where Esau is the Patriarch of the clan Edom.  Jacob/Israel’s brother is Esau/Edom.

1:3  Some of the Rabbinical literature predicts the destruction of Edom.  However, with respect to ethics Deuteronomy the corrected 1917 JPS edition says, “23:(8) Thou shalt not abhor an Edomite, for he is thy brother; thou shalt not abhor an Egyptian, because thou wast a stranger in his land. (9) The children of the third generation that are born unto them may enter into the assembly of YHWH.”

1:4  Then, you may wonder what of this verse, “1 Kings 11: (15) For it came to pass, when David was in Edom, and Joab the captain of the host was gone up to bury the slain, and had smitten every male in Edom -- (16) for Joab and all Israel remained there six months, until he had cut off every male in Edom –.”

1:5  In fact, there are lots of verses in the Bible that speak of the destructions of Edom, such that this can not mean that all Edom had perished.  Rabbinical Judaism counted the Kings of Europe as Edom, especially when Jews were mistreated, such that we know Edom is still alive and probably not well!  In fact, USA presidents can often trace their lineage to Edom.  From these verses it is very possible for one to take the leap that Edom will at sometime no longer be Edom, but that certain Edomites will convert is a part of the cycle of the life of Zerahites, where Zerah is the son of Reuel, who in turn is the son of Esau.

1:6  The canon that would be called Tanach, which Christians refer to as Old Testament had been long closed, and thought impossible to improve, when the Jews of Europe were counting European kings as Edom.  These Jews were most certainly correct.  However, it is impossible for the Jews to proclaim all the kings of Edom were evil.  Thus, when a Zerahite is of the tribe of Judah and Edom, he is probably righteous for in the book of Numbers among post Sinai Jews Zerahites where counted as being among the righteous of Israel.

1:7 “2nd Chronicles 21(10) So Edom revolted from under the hand of Judah unto this day; then did Libnah revolt at the same time from under his hand; because he had forsaken YHWH, the God of his fathers.”  Here there is a prediction, that there will come a day when Edom no longer rebels, but that some Edomites are righteous.  This is the end of that cycle I wrote of in 1:5, where in Numbers Zerah retains his former Edomite nature, but also is counted as a Judahite.  For me, hopefully, that is now.  The day that I rebel against Judah is hopefully no more, but that doesn’t mean that this day doesn’t come for every Zerahite.

1:8 Yet Obadiah predicts that Edom will be completely wiped out of the book of life, “1 (8) Shall I not in that day, saith YHWH, destroy the wise men out of Edom, and discernment out of the mount of Esau?” (9) And thy mighty men, O Teman, shall be dismayed, to the end that every one may be cut off from the mount of Esau by slaughter.”  I see a way that this verse from Obadiah can be reconciled with truth.  This is that the clan of Edom becomes fractured and no longer ceases to operate as a unit.  It is said, that the king is to study Torah all the days of his life, and thus as a result of that there is a certain amount of seclusion associated with kingship.  I do believe that the Bible accounts for the eventual dissipation of Edom as a collective via conversions, as it is said that a person’s name in Hebrew is a chemical formula for the way one is.  Thus, the clan Edom is destroyed, and yet some of the descendants of Esau live on in seclusion, in this case some especially as Zerahites.

1:9  In earlier books of Zerah, I have showed that the name Zerah was prolific, and though there is a Edomite Zerah, there is also a son of Judah named Zerah.  Thus, we should not expect Judah’s sons or Simeon’s sons will be wiped out because Zerah is mentioned as a part of Edom.

1:10  The destruction of Edom may come when Zerah is counted in the book of Numbers as a part of the tribe of Simeon and a part of the tribe Judah.  This is because some people say that before Exodus 20, something almost magical had yet to happen to the Hebrews, the reception of the Torah at Mt. Sinai.  Yet, with this enlightenment what seems to be conferred to the  Zerahites is actually more of a multiculturalism.

1:11  Yet, because we see Zerahites in post Sinai activity with the Israelites, we can know that these Zerahites have not been blotted from the book of life, and that according to 1 Maccabees 12 the Darius was considered the brethren of the Jews, where I count Darius as a Zerahite, especially because Darius is said to have Zeus in his ancestry (discussed in other texts I have written in fuller detail).

1:12  Zerahites must be included with with this group of Torah Jews post Moses’ receiving of the Torah because Zerah is a clan of converts to the Tribe of Simeon, “Numbers 26:(12) The sons of Simeon after their families: of Nemuel, the family of the Nemuelites; of Jamin, the family of the Jaminites; of Jachin, the family of the Jachinites; (13) of Zerah, the family of the Zerahites; of Shaul, the family of the Shaulites.”  This Simeonite heritage should be counted as that a Zerahite has a certain amount of anarchistic tendencies.  Notice what Genesis 49 has to say of the tribe of Simeon and Levi, “(5) Simeon and Levi are brethren; weapons of violence their kinship. (6) Let my soul not come into their council; unto their assembly let my glory not be united; for in their anger they slew men, and in their self-will they houghed oxen.”

1:13  Then, Zerah is secondly counted post Mt. Sinai as a clan of converts to the tribe of Judah, “Numbers26:(20) And the sons of Judah after their families were: of Shelah, the family of the Shelanites; of Perez, the family of the Perezites; of Zerah, the family of the Zerahites.”  Thus, Zerahites are associated with the scepter, and with the anarchistic tendencies of Simeon.

1:14  Thus, with respect to Obadiah, we see the destruction of the clan of Edom, but that some of Esau’s children live on, converted to righteous ways.

5th Craig Of Sparks and Mosquitoes: In Support of Patriarchal Cultural Ascent

There are many reasons why I choose Judaism, one of which was that the person who was truly my best friend at college is Jewish.  He said that he was Jewish, and that he was very nice interested me in Judaism in the way that a spark inspires a mosquito to fly toward the Light.  Additionally, I grew up in a USA that loved Israel, where we Americans drew near to her, so far as I knew.
At the time that I lived on the same dorm floor as my Jewish friend, I claimed that I was a Christian though I had been unable to ascertain exactly what that meant.  I grew up attending church and even playing guitar in the praise band, but I didn’t have an idea what Christianity was.
If I had to define Christianity, in my youth I could liken Christianity to speaking a type of gibberish that I seemed to be unable to learn and doing good deeds.
Sadly, one of the reasons I left Christianity is that it taught to emphasize some sort of foolish faith based salvation that had nothing to do with doing good deeds.
