Craig Christ

That which emerges from your lips, you shall keep and do. - Deuteronomy 23:24

This verse is the reason I cleave to the idea that I am the messiah. Though I said it all the way back in 2000 CE to a psychiatrist after believing that I was being poisoned with carbon monoxide, and that I had thought I had a conversation with Gd, this somehow emerged from my lips, and I don't know why. However, I was sincere when I said it.

That is, I was hospitalized for the first time for pyschosis.  During this hospitalization, I thought I had realized that I am the messiah.  At this time I was very sick.  I am over 6'0" tall, and I weighed 150 Ilbs, which is about 50 less than I should weigh at an optimal weight.  I couldn't remember to eat and bathe.  Sometimes I couldn't remember to class at Rutgers, and I also suffered from chronic fatigue and hyper-sexuality.  Prior to talking to Gd, my abilty to masterbate was the only thing I could take pride in, but then the Risperdal prevented even that.  I fell into a deep depression where I pondered killing myself all day long as I worked the Ridge Club Golf Course in Sandwich, MA.

Prior to my hospitalization, I thought I met Gd, and though it may have only been a hallucination, this hallucination of Gd caused me to believed.

God: I never thought you would get so far.

God:  I am punishing you.

Me:  Why are you punishing me (shouted)?

God: I get everyone sooner or later.

(The last comment, "I get everyone sooner or later," is possibly Gd's commentary on Isaiah 65:23. And it shall be from new moon to new moon and from Sabbath to Sabbath, that all flesh shall come to prostrate themselves before Me," says the Lord. - from www.chabad.org)

World War III

World War 3 has begun. This war will be the war over freedom of speech. This war is about the right to make cartoons.  How absurd?
This war is a 3 way.  It is the Arabs and the Muslims versus Israel and America.
America has left itself open to attack.  As I am writting this, American has formal presence in over 100 countries, occupying them in various ways, such as militarily and via embassies that leave our men overseas open to acts of revenge.
What is occuring, is that America is facing a forced conversion to Islam.  Any American who takes the liberty of the First Amendment may not only incur the death penalty to himself, but also Americans may face retribution in Arab lands.
Yes, the radical Muslims are in the minority, but that much doesn't matter when your dead due to the actions of a minority.

Relevance of Despicable Video of Mohammed to Judaism

I don't believe we have seen the last of these attacks on freedom of speech. Really, if a cartoon sets people off, I can only imagine how much more a video would. These attacks are proving Chalmers Johnson (r.i.p.) and Ron Paul correct, both of these folks wanted to shrink our influence in other countries. Likewise, it would not be surprising to see new movies and cartoons surface over the next few years that evoke the same response.

Nonethelesss: There does seem to be a benefit for Israel. We Americans are often quite forgetful, referring to 9/11. This may make us more prone to coming to the aid of Israel given Iran/Israeli war.

With respect to our military and occupations, we are in over 100 nations that are likely poorly stored fireworks to our country, especially if we disrespect their gods, god, or culture. Let's put a stop to this folly and not leave ourselves open to attack by smite nations.

On Goodness and Philosophy

Philosophy often tries to answer the question: What is good. The moral absolutist in me wants to believe that the Torah is the primary text for rules for healthy living. Yet, the moral relativism in me knows that if I eat at my parents house the foods that are most likely clams, lobster, pork, or shrimp. Thus, it is such that when I go to my parents house we have a disagreement about what is good. I liken eating lobster to eating a cockroach, eating clams to eating earth worms, and eating pork to eating human. In fact, there are so many ways that parents try to suppress my intellectual freedom that my current resolution to deal with them is to avoid them.

Creationist Day-Age Theory Commentary: Genesis 1:1-2:3 – JPS 2004 Study Bible

Original posting Date:  January 2, 2011 at 3:42 pm (edited)
Pre:
“The correlations between things created on the various days exhibit a high degree of symmetry”
“First three” days … “generalities or domains” …
“Next three” days … “specifics”
“FISH/BIRDS (DAY 5)” “SKY (DAY 2)” – Conclusively, fish swim in the sky, which will be explained.
The creation week has seven of Gd’s days, “Seven signifies completeness” – ex. menorah has 7 candles, week has 7 days etc.,
“Was good or very good occurs seven times, but not on every day of the primordial week.  Missing on the second and the seventh it appears twice on the third and sixth days” – Stealing has a ratio of 2:1 or 1:2.  Not everything is good.
“God does function here in ways reminiscent of a Kohen” – Science is a discipline for priests.
Verses referred below are according to JPS 2004 Bible.
1:1 the first word of the translation is, “when.”
1:1 the second word of the translation is, “God.”
This suggests that time and creation existed before G-d created them.
1:2 “Darkness” – A 24 hour day begins with darkness.  The primordial darkness is a black hole.
“In the midrash, Bar Kappara upholds the troubling notion that God created the world out of preexistent material.”
Compare with Gen. Rab. 1:5
“In the ancient Near East, however, to say that a deity had subdued chaos is the highest praise.”
1:3 “The Big Bang” (Zohar shows medieval Cabbalists had already conceived of this idea out of their interpretation of Genesis 1.)
3-5: “Since the sun is not created until the fourth day (1:14-1:19), the light of the first three days is of a different order from what we know” from experience in this universe
1:4 we begin to see a pattern in that G-d is powerful: that from His utterances, we are the residue of His spit.
1:5 “Day” “Night” “evening” “morning” – These were all a part of the first age (Yom).  Evening and morning are a part of each age.
1:6 “Separate water” – There are layers of atmosphere, as well as layers of the ocean.
1:7 by the authority of G-d there is density, and buoyancy.
1:8 “Sky” – Liquid (water, oil, or air) are all very similar, except that they different in resistivity.  This means that we should treat air and water as being very similar.  For example, one can pass an alternating current through them.
1:9 “Land” – Solids
1:10 “Earth” – Pangaea, the land is completely connected.
1:10 “Seas” but “the” – Indicates that all the Seas were connected.
1:11 “Vegetation” – This is cyanobacteria that could live without the sun.  Or the ancestors of chloroplasts, an organelle within a eukaryote plant that was once a separate bacterial cell.
1:12 “Two great lights” – The sun and the moon “Stars” – Ours is not the first sun.
1:20 First there were fish.  Then, there were insects, including those that are winged.  These insects are, “Owph,” meaning flying things, not inclusive of birds.
1:21 “creep,” amphibians
1:24 “cattle,” mammals, then “creep” dinosaurs [Probably not “cattle,” but mammals (hairy creatures not “cattle”), such as the first monotremes (egg laying mammals, such as platypuses)] [Mammals existed in the fossil record at the same time dinosaurs supposedly walked the earth.]
26-28: “Some have seen in that commission a license for ecological irresponsibility.  The fact is, however, that the Tanakh presents humanity as not the owner of nature but as its steward,”
“Be fertile and increase.  In Jewish law, this is a positive commandment, although it is obligatory only on Jewish men, not women (b. Yebam. 65b)” The Lubavitcher Rebbe disagrees, and professed belief that Jews are to encourage gentile men to procreate.  There is no context suggesting that this only implies Jewish males, and not all males of humankind.
1:26 “Us” – G-d is a collective singular.  This possibly explains how G-d may appear both merciful and punitive and/or good or evil.  “Man” – Meaning humankind.  The first creation story of Genesis 1 is exactly according to the fossil record. “Image” – That of creation in that creation is visible.
1:28 the first command of the Torah.  It is for men only, and it does not imply make a baby every chance that you get.  This command has been accomplished (Bill McKibben – ref. book Maybe One).  The world population has an estimated 6 billion humans. We now need for our charity to extend to animals, such that human’s don’t crowd out the beautiful biodiversity of our planet.  That is that we need to be careful not to make earth the above mentioned vast waste dump upon which G-d sits as king.
2:2 “Rested” – This is Shabbat or in other pronunciations “Shabbos.”  The 7th day is never mentioned as having ended even up to the time of King David (Psalm 95:11.)  The next part of the text of Genesis is another creation story with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden.  It is my opinion, that mankind originated in the Garden of Eden on the 6th day before G-d entered His rest.   There are laws of Shabbat that require transgressing Shabbat, such as saving a life, such that it is correct to use medicine to save a life on Shabbat.  Thus, it is such that if we are still in a period of the 7th age, then there is a certain degree of deism relative to G-d’s interactions with the world, such that Gd intervenes primarily to heal, in the same way that Doctors/Rabbi’s often do.  Additionally, it is such that G-d might take a break to rest even if the Lord’s Sabbath has ended, which also suggests a certain degree of deism.

A Comment for Mr. Richard Dawkins and the late Christopher Hitchens

Faith-based morality gets Hitchslapped. (Christopher Hitchens)
www.youtube.com
Hitchens responds to the first question from the Q&A session of the Hitchens/Mcgrath debate: "Without God, what basis do you have for declaring things right ...

Craig Hamilton I believe in the Jewish Gd, and have studied Judaism for some time. The Rabbi whom I have been in communication with had an answer for that question Hitch spoke of. In fact, I was addressing the Rabbi with Hitch's argument for sometime. I had been furious that he, the Rabbi, had asked me whether or not I was a Jew because of what that means with respect to the Bible. Essentially, it felt like he was asking me if he could treat me like shit or not. Meaning, if I was not a Jew, then it would give him the right to do what Hitch describes. However, seeing that this was indeed a problem, the Rabbi did tell me that he felt the Bible must be being misinterpreted if those consequences where to be allowed, meaning that misinterpretation of the Bible must have occurred if it were true that I could be treated like shit if I am not a Jew, and that he said that in my case, as one whom has studied with the Jews for several years, though I have not gone through a ritual conversion, that my affiliation with the Jews would be reason to not do these abhorrent things that are in the Torah. I would also like to mention that the USA has been outsourcing work for some time now. Our industrialists are taking advantage of people in other countries through paying substandard wages to them. Most of these businesses might as well be atheistic, and that slaps Hitches answer for without Gd, the USA seems to feel that it is only natural to enslave other nations. One question that I would like to ask Hitch is, what sustains the universe if there is no Gd. That is, whether it be good or bad, the universe is sustained as the result of something that would appear to be so mystical that it seems most reasonable to label the Sustainer of the universe as Gd. That is for example, we know of things such as atoms, but what we do not know why they are sustained as atoms except through rather flimsy scientific brouhaha. Maybe Mr. Dawkins would like to answer that one.
