Craig Hamilton I believe in the Jewish Gd, and have studied Judaism for some time. The Rabbi whom I have been in communication with had an answer for that question Hitch spoke of. In fact, I was addressing the Rabbi with Hitch's argument for sometime. I had been furious that he, the Rabbi, had asked me whether or not I was a Jew because of what that means with respect to the Bible. Essentially, it felt like he was asking me if he could treat me like shit or not. Meaning, if I was not a Jew, then it would give him the right to do what Hitch describes. However, seeing that this was indeed a problem, the Rabbi did tell me that he felt the Bible must be being misinterpreted if those consequences where to be allowed, meaning that misinterpretation of the Bible must have occurred if it were true that I could be treated like shit if I am not a Jew, and that he said that in my case, as one whom has studied with the Jews for several years, though I have not gone through a ritual conversion, that my affiliation with the Jews would be reason to not do these abhorrent things that are in the Torah. I would also like to mention that the USA has been outsourcing work for some time now. Our industrialists are taking advantage of people in other countries through paying substandard wages to them. Most of these businesses might as well be atheistic, and that slaps Hitches answer for without Gd, the USA seems to feel that it is only natural to enslave other nations. One question that I would like to ask Hitch is, what sustains the universe if there is no Gd. That is, whether it be good or bad, the universe is sustained as the result of something that would appear to be so mystical that it seems most reasonable to label the Sustainer of the universe as Gd. That is for example, we know of things such as atoms, but what we do not know why they are sustained as atoms except through rather flimsy scientific brouhaha. Maybe Mr. Dawkins would like to answer that one.
