MASS Health, ACA, charity, Science Funding, Talmud, NGO, Environment, Zerah, Esau, Freewill, Soul, Jews Have Torah

I come from MA. I know about Mass Health. This is a fact. If you apply for it through any other means than being in person, then whatever papers you have filled out for snail mail are tossed in the trash. Folks don't have the time for stuff like website applications even in my state, which is orders of magnitude smaller than the scale of trying to achieve socialized health care. A much better way to do this has been pointed out by Robert Reich, and that was to extend Medicare to include health for all. In addition, I believe that trying to insure the entire country will be a difficult if not impossible task, especially since it requires more bureaucracy than Mass health, and believe me, it is no easy walk in the park to get health care here. Many providers often complain that Mass Health doesn't pay them, even though it should. Really, the best way do do this would be Medicare and via separating the union with respect to health care as places like New England, Mid-Western, etc.

One thing that I don't get about ACA is why so many folks that comment also can pay out of pocket are more concerned about second tier Americans than third and underclass tiers? I myself pay out of pocket for my psychological care. I would guess anyone who trusts regular health care for psych would be nothing but a disaster, such that out of pocket psychiatrists that do not accept health care is the only way.

Conservatives often give to fund their priests, but that is all. Ever heard of a conservative give no an NGO (Non governmental organization) like Heiffer International? Probably not. I do admit though that the shoebox charity of Christian is quite good. I, myself, have done missionary work in the Dominican Republic doing things like pouring cement to build a hospital. Often I am very suspicious of Christian charities like the Salvation Army because really their assistance is often motivated by Jesus and is not humanistic. (This is probably more like what Christians are like in the Bible belt.  I have evidence that Christians are not like this where I live, Cape Cod)

I don't buy that. I live in Massachusetts, sometimes called the blue-est state. Far fewer people in my state go to church and still far fewer are zealous about their religion here. And, guess what, our water is clean and through legislating charity we have one of the most robust states in the union. Boston has weathered the financial storms of economic demise far better than many other USA cities.

One fact is, if you give many but not all people a sense that Zeus is watching the behavior of men, then, the majority of men will use belief in Zeus as a reason to behave, and they will behave just as well for Zeus as they will for Jesus.

There is ample evidence to suggest that Zeus was Zerah son of Judah, born by Tamar, and brother of Pharez.

If Jesus was the Messiah, then please explain to me why after his coming here life expectancies decreased. Also, that Jesus walked the earth reminds me of a silly old song my mom used to sing, "And, he walks with me and he talks with me and he tells me that l am his own."

Thanks ... for not praying for me. When Christians say that to me (That they are gonna pray for me), I take it as a common passive aggressive cheap-shot.

Exactly, when Isaac blessed Jacob, he gave a lesser blessing to Esau. In the Bible Isaac represents justice. Thank you for at least trying to show some discretion over who and what you pray about. Indeed, you are trying not to caste pearls to swine (why it is written "before" beats me. Its almost like poor English, as if the pearls turn men into swine). It should be, don't caste pearls to swine, if you are concerned with parsimonious English.

Thank you for taking time to address this with me. I am not Christian. I believe that the religion of Judaism is correct though I am not a Jew, meaning I do not have Jewishness that one supposedly gains through ritual conversion.

First, let me address the issue of free will. I believe G@d knows us, and controls our destiny to a certain extent, but that we also control our own destiny because we have souls. These souls give us purpose, and individuality. Most Bible's include this in the creation account where G_d say, "And let them rule." "Let" separates our souls from being G-d's automatons. "Them" is plural indicating our individuality. To "Rule" over creation is the purpose of humanity. Also, several times in Torah we read that if we do good things, then eventually good things will happen to us, and that if we do bad things we will eventually fall from grace through the evil of G!d. A couple of time in the histories of the Jewish kings in Tanach G:d is called evil. In addition, G=d is the ruler over Satan, the Angel of Death, and so on. So, because we have souls we can choose to a certain extent how we are to live, and G$d may or may not punish or reward us, according to His perfect wisdom. Thus, as the rule of karma applies, if we do good, then eventually good things will happen to us, and if we do evil eventually G-d is probably going to multiply our afflictions.

I do agree with you that the Christian message is quite muddled. To believers, however, to be a Christian is secretly defined as doing what is morally upstanding, while shunning evil.

I do not have a good answer with respect to radioactive dating and the Bible. So far as I can conceive, there once was a time where humanity became nearly extinct due to an ice age, according to the fossil record. The entire world is thus thought to have been repopulated by 70 individuals, according to science. I believe that Noah's flood was actually due to global warming and thawing a glacier, and that the 70 individuals that scientists say repopulated the world, are the 70 nations of the Bible following the flood.

I believe that it is possible that we have miscalculated the age of the birth of Hebrew. There is ancient Hebrew (no vowels, only consonants), as our human ancestors probably could only speak with consonants (see The Ancestor's Tale by Richard Dawkins), and there is modern Hebrew, which of course has vowels. Modern Hebrew was created through isolating a child in Jewish culture, and deigning the words he came up as Hebrew. Please keep in mind that no one had spoken perhaps middle Hebrew or Ancient Hebrew for roughly 2,000 years before Modern Hebrew was created. Talmud and Torah through the Middle Ages etc were studied in the vernacular, but the Hebrew was only read, not spoken. This is one reason I believe Hebrew is very similar to old French according to Rashi, meaning that Rashi had adopted old French into a Hebrew creole. Rashi is best known for writing what is often called the most important commentary on the Torah.

Forgive me if I am in error in the delivery, but if I can remember correctly, reconciliation of the modern dating system science is possible through Torah. Observing the dates of the Bible, I was able to conclude that through taking Torah (non-Tanach {I think it was}) dates and connecting them with modern dates, I was able to come to an interesting conclusion with respect to the Hebrew word “Yom,” which can mean either day or age. This word “yom” is also used in the creation story, which is why some folks believe in the Day-Age Theory. At the time of the flood, G-d numbered Noah’s years, saying that man’s days are numbered 120. If you factor in Torah one of the years of a person’s life is actually 120 years of our time because of this verse, then we are accurately able to date the time of near human extinction in the fossil record in Torah. In addition, the fossil record contains 2 departures from Africa, one being that of Abraham, the other being that of the Israelites fleeing Pharaoh. Using this system, it is also possible to conclude that the Canaanites were the Neanderthals, and that for some of us our ancestors intermarried with them, as we have their DNA. There is definitely fossil record of Neanderthals in Israel, which is the land of Canaan. Additionally, I am fairly certain that while all know white people have Neanderthal DNA, it is the Jews that are Jewish via lineage that have the highest concentrations of Neanderthal DNA.

This raises an interesting question, which you, yourself, posed. Why the hell is everything with respect to the Bible so muddled, be it any religion, as though I like Judaism on paper, I still think people are people? For one, Paul and the Talmud are correct on one thing, that the Jews have Torah. However, that is not to state that the Jews fully comprehend Torah. That is, G-d gave the Torah to the Jews in a state, very similar to the way the Jews are now, and not all comprehend this Torah though many of the Jews wrestle with it in their life, and indeed some go on to become Rabbis and probably fewer become students of these Rabbis.

One conclusion is that each name of every person in Torah, or at least Genesis is actually a tribe, and not a single person.

I resent that about donating other people's money. i do give money to charity, and I am a charity case. The Bible says that the poor should not be so impoverished that they are unable to give back, and that describes my situation. There, in the play by play I did charitable a good deed by letting you know that. I used to be an electrochemist several years back, and having mental illness even I could see that I would cost tax payers less on SSI, not to be confused with SSDI, if I just take a check and stop doing science. Plenty is already known in science and people need to put that to use and not just publish paper after paper. The system is archaic. Science is supposed to be repeatable, but recorded written and moderated commentary on articles isn't done, especially since terabyte drives are commonly available. The Jews have been doing this since the Dark Ages through Talmud. Science isn't all that grand and it costs a lot of money, so I decided not to add to the problem, and see what I could do that might benefit people in the form of charity.

6th Craig: Of Me and Edom - A Comment Made to Chabad.org on Why Do Rabbis Discourage Conversions? by Aaron Moss

I talked to a very nice laid back Rabbi. I informed him that my ancestry goes back to Edom, as in the Middle Ages Jews referred to the kings of these times as Edom. He was nice and didn’t turn me away. We both agreed that Edom did have righteous men. Without correction I mentioned that the names of people in Torah are like chemical formulas for what these people are like and Zerah is listed among Edom as a chief, while Zerah is also a son of Judah by Tamar. Thus, Zerah is righteous because, "for all your people are righteous (Sanhedrin)." Another example of an Edomite mentioned both as being of Edom and of Israel is Jeush. I would think that the predicted destruction of Edom in the prophets means that those righteous in Edom will either convert (to Judaism) or be slayed.

6th Zerah: Edom Destroyed?

1:1  From the other books/chapters of Zerah I have written, it should be known that first in Genesis, Zerah is mentioned as a part of Edom.

1:2  Edom is a clan usually considered to be wicked that descended from Isaac the son of Abraham, where Esau is the Patriarch of the clan Edom.  Jacob/Israel’s brother is Esau/Edom.

1:3  Some of the Rabbinical literature predicts the destruction of Edom.  However, with respect to ethics Deuteronomy the corrected 1917 JPS edition says, “23:(8) Thou shalt not abhor an Edomite, for he is thy brother; thou shalt not abhor an Egyptian, because thou wast a stranger in his land. (9) The children of the third generation that are born unto them may enter into the assembly of YHWH.”

1:4  Then, you may wonder what of this verse, “1 Kings 11: (15) For it came to pass, when David was in Edom, and Joab the captain of the host was gone up to bury the slain, and had smitten every male in Edom -- (16) for Joab and all Israel remained there six months, until he had cut off every male in Edom –.”

1:5  In fact, there are lots of verses in the Bible that speak of the destructions of Edom, such that this can not mean that all Edom had perished.  Rabbinical Judaism counted the Kings of Europe as Edom, especially when Jews were mistreated, such that we know Edom is still alive and probably not well!  In fact, USA presidents can often trace their lineage to Edom.  From these verses it is very possible for one to take the leap that Edom will at sometime no longer be Edom, but that certain Edomites will convert is a part of the cycle of the life of Zerahites, where Zerah is the son of Reuel, who in turn is the son of Esau.

1:6  The canon that would be called Tanach, which Christians refer to as Old Testament had been long closed, and thought impossible to improve, when the Jews of Europe were counting European kings as Edom.  These Jews were most certainly correct.  However, it is impossible for the Jews to proclaim all the kings of Edom were evil.  Thus, when a Zerahite is of the tribe of Judah and Edom, he is probably righteous for in the book of Numbers among post Sinai Jews Zerahites where counted as being among the righteous of Israel.

1:7 “2nd Chronicles 21(10) So Edom revolted from under the hand of Judah unto this day; then did Libnah revolt at the same time from under his hand; because he had forsaken YHWH, the God of his fathers.”  Here there is a prediction, that there will come a day when Edom no longer rebels, but that some Edomites are righteous.  This is the end of that cycle I wrote of in 1:5, where in Numbers Zerah retains his former Edomite nature, but also is counted as a Judahite.  For me, hopefully, that is now.  The day that I rebel against Judah is hopefully no more, but that doesn’t mean that this day doesn’t come for every Zerahite.

1:8 Yet Obadiah predicts that Edom will be completely wiped out of the book of life, “1 (8) Shall I not in that day, saith YHWH, destroy the wise men out of Edom, and discernment out of the mount of Esau?” (9) And thy mighty men, O Teman, shall be dismayed, to the end that every one may be cut off from the mount of Esau by slaughter.”  I see a way that this verse from Obadiah can be reconciled with truth.  This is that the clan of Edom becomes fractured and no longer ceases to operate as a unit.  It is said, that the king is to study Torah all the days of his life, and thus as a result of that there is a certain amount of seclusion associated with kingship.  I do believe that the Bible accounts for the eventual dissipation of Edom as a collective via conversions, as it is said that a person’s name in Hebrew is a chemical formula for the way one is.  Thus, the clan Edom is destroyed, and yet some of the descendants of Esau live on in seclusion, in this case some especially as Zerahites.

1:9  In earlier books of Zerah, I have showed that the name Zerah was prolific, and though there is a Edomite Zerah, there is also a son of Judah named Zerah.  Thus, we should not expect Judah’s sons or Simeon’s sons will be wiped out because Zerah is mentioned as a part of Edom.

1:10  The destruction of Edom may come when Zerah is counted in the book of Numbers as a part of the tribe of Simeon and a part of the tribe Judah.  This is because some people say that before Exodus 20, something almost magical had yet to happen to the Hebrews, the reception of the Torah at Mt. Sinai.  Yet, with this enlightenment what seems to be conferred to the  Zerahites is actually more of a multiculturalism.

1:11  Yet, because we see Zerahites in post Sinai activity with the Israelites, we can know that these Zerahites have not been blotted from the book of life, and that according to 1 Maccabees 12 the Darius was considered the brethren of the Jews, where I count Darius as a Zerahite, especially because Darius is said to have Zeus in his ancestry (discussed in other texts I have written in fuller detail).

1:12  Zerahites must be included with with this group of Torah Jews post Moses’ receiving of the Torah because Zerah is a clan of converts to the Tribe of Simeon, “Numbers 26:(12) The sons of Simeon after their families: of Nemuel, the family of the Nemuelites; of Jamin, the family of the Jaminites; of Jachin, the family of the Jachinites; (13) of Zerah, the family of the Zerahites; of Shaul, the family of the Shaulites.”  This Simeonite heritage should be counted as that a Zerahite has a certain amount of anarchistic tendencies.  Notice what Genesis 49 has to say of the tribe of Simeon and Levi, “(5) Simeon and Levi are brethren; weapons of violence their kinship. (6) Let my soul not come into their council; unto their assembly let my glory not be united; for in their anger they slew men, and in their self-will they houghed oxen.”

1:13  Then, Zerah is secondly counted post Mt. Sinai as a clan of converts to the tribe of Judah, “Numbers26:(20) And the sons of Judah after their families were: of Shelah, the family of the Shelanites; of Perez, the family of the Perezites; of Zerah, the family of the Zerahites.”  Thus, Zerahites are associated with the scepter, and with the anarchistic tendencies of Simeon.

1:14  Thus, with respect to Obadiah, we see the destruction of the clan of Edom, but that some of Esau’s children live on, converted to righteous ways.

5th Zerah: Adam's Lineage; From the Bible to The Royal House of Troy to The Line from Zerah to King Alfred “the Great”

The line from Adam to Noah is very well known because it is in the Bible, Christian Bibles, Jewish Bibles, and this literature is sacred even to Islam.  In the Bible, Noah is primarily know for being the person who built an Ark, such that when a massive flood came, Noah was saved, and the rest of humanity drowned.  In the Bible, Noah is the 10th generation where Adam is the first generation.  So, I am starting with a 10 next to Noah.
10. Noah
11. Shem
Several different sacred texts include a flood story in their history.  In fact, this story is not just in Hebrew literature, but also Greek, Roman, Norse and British legend contain a flood story.  For example Shem, the son of Noah is listed in the sacred British text, the Anglo Saxon Chronicle as, Sem, and in other places Shem is called Sceaf.
Shem is where the word Semite comes from.  Thus, in this lineage, I am establishing that the British Kings and the ancestors to these kings where of Semitic origin.
12.  Arpachshad
The line from Noah to Abraham is also in the Bible, but I will list it anyway.
13.  Shelah
14.  Eber
Eber means Hebrew.  Thus, Eber is thought to be the first Hebrew patriarch.
15.  Peleg
16.  Reu
17.  Serug
18.  Nahor
19.  Terah
20.  Abraham
Among Jews, Abraham is often called the first Jew though the word Jew derives from the Israelite tribe of Judah.  This is somewhat confusing.  However, Abraham is thought to be the father of monotheism, and in addition, Abraham is well known for his institution of the practice of circumcision, which is a practice that like Jews, the British are known to circumcise their males.  However, I do understand that this is arguable because certain Orthodox Jews believe that the circumcision of the Brits, and other peoples are invalidated for various reasons.
21.  Isaac
22.  Jacob who became Israel
In mythology, the patriarch Jacob is known as SATURNUS OF KRIT, where Krit is the Island of Crete. The historians Eusebius and Tacitus (see his book Histories 5:2) connect Saturn, Crete and Israel.  In fact, among the English Saturday, is Saturn's Day, where Saturday is the Israelite Sabbath.
22.  Judah
JUPITER in Persian mythology is Judah.  In other mythology, Judah is Jove.  For example, in the Iliad, Jove had a ruler's scepter.  This scepter is mentioned in [Genesis 49:10].  In the mythology, this scepter was made by Vulcan.
23.  Zerah is the son of Judah in the book of Genesis.  The word Zerah in Hebrew means, “Strange worship,” such that it is no wonder why such odd religious associations, such as polytheism are associated with this clan of Judah.  While Jupiter of the Persian Empire mean Judah, Zeus of the Greek empire meant Zerah.  Zeus came to be associated lightning bolts, and that was the priestly Zerahites, while in other circles Zeus the Olympiad referred to Zerah, as he, Zerah is mentioned first in the Bible as an Edomite, where being an Olympiad may be thought of as Edomite like behavior.
I understand that this literature puts the Israelite Exodus from Egypt at an impossible date, according to the Orthodox calendar, but I am pretty sure that before the age of 1,000 BCE the orthodox calendar is in fact wrong.  I have discussed this in other blogs.
24.  Mahol
1 Kings 5:11 “Darda the son of Mahol”
25.  Darda [Chronicles], Dara, is the son of Zeus in the Iliad, where he is called the phonetically similar Dardanus in the Iliad.
True to the scepter and the prophecy of Israel that Judah would rule, Darda founded The Royal House of Troy and Trojan race).
26.  ERICHHONIUS [Iliad]
Thus, for the continuation of the lineage of Darda, I turn to other sacred lineage, as the Bible stops with Darda, while the semi-legendary mythologies continue the lineage.
26.  TROS [Iliad]
27.  Laomedon [Iliad]
28.  Tithonus (mentioned in THE TROJAN WOMEN by EURIPIDES)
29.  Memnon [mentioned in Theogony by Hesiod]
30.  Priam of Troy [Iliad, Woden (Odin I) John D. Keyser]
31.  Troan m. Munon, Mennon, Memnon
The Icelandic Langfedgatal and the Younger Edda continue this lineage as a migration to the north and the birth of Thor or Tror.
32.  Thor son of Odin/Priam
Like Saturn’s Day, or Saturday, Thor was given a day of week Thursday.  Also, his hammer may be associated with the property of resonance in science.
33.  Loridi
34.  Hloritha
35.  Einridi
36.  Einrid
37.  Vingethor
28.  Moda (Hebrew connection to Norse because moda is a Hebrew word.)
29.  Magi
This name brings a connection  of the Zoroastrian religion with this lineage.  Most importantly, it is a Chaldean connection to Norse, where the Chaldeans are Hebrews.  Magi is mentioned in the Christian Bible, and I believe it is at this point that there is possibly a migration to the north, and the so called gospel says that the Magi took a different root home, and in fact, I suggest that they never returned.
Sceaf, Seskef, Odin II = Sheaf of grain connection to Leviticus 23:9-14
30.  Bedwig
This lineage continues below as listed.  There are several different sources for this lineage through the Dark Ages, so it is hard to say which one is correct.  However, the lineages do seem to indicate the pattern mentioned roughly below.  Also, when I wrote this, I definitely know that there may have been omissions to this genealogy, but it is still thought that the general list is about as close as possible that can be achieved.
31.  Hwala
32.  Hathra
33.  Athra
34.  Itermon
35.  Itermann
36.  Heremod or maybe Heremot
37.  Sceldwa or maybe Scealdna
38.  Beaw or maybe Beaf
Beowulf is a legendary book where this person is the central character.
39.  Taetwa
40.  Eatus
41.  Geata
42.  Godulf
43.  Godwulf
44.  Finn
45.  Frithuwulf
46.  Frealaf
47. Voden, Oden, or Woden (Odin  III)
48.  Bældæg
49.  Brond
50.  Gewis
51.  Elesa
52.  Cerdic, King of Wessex
53.  Cynric, King of Wessex
54.  Ceawlin, King of Wessex
55.  Cuthwine
56.  Cuthwulf
57.  Ceolwald
58.  Cenred
59.  Ingild
60.  Eoppa
61.  Eafa
62.  Ealhmund
63.  Subregulus of Kent
64.  Ecgbeorht, King of Wessex
65.  Æðelwulf, King of Wessex
66.  Ælfræd “the Great”
From this point on the ancestry is well documented, and needs no further mention here.

1st Zerah: Who is Zerah? What are the Zerahites?

Ethics of our Fathers 6:3 He who learns from his companion one section, or one canon, or one verse, or one word, (or) even one letter, is bound to do him honour; for thus we find with David king of Israel, who learned not from Achithophel but two things only, that he called him his master, his guide, and his acquaintance,

The Bible mentions several Zerahs, or does it? Zerah’s name appears in many ancestries in not only the Torah, but the entire Tanach. The Tanach is the Jewish Bible. It does not include the New Testament. This essay is purely speculative.

Genesis 36:16 is the first appearance of the name Zerah. He is mentioned as the son of the Edomite, “Reuel.”

Genesis 36:13 And these are the sons of Reuel: Nahath, and Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah. These were the sons of Basemath Esau's wife.

That Esau took her as a wife indicates that Basemath was indeed an Abrahamite. The Torah says that Basemath was the daughter of Ishmael (Genesis 36:3). Ishmael was the firstborn of Abraham’s sons. Basemath was also the wife of Esau. That makes Zerah in the third generation. First there was Esau, the brother of Jacob. Next there was Reuel, the son of Esau. Last there was Zerah, the son of Reuel, but was this an adoption? Zerah is also the third generation from Jacob. Generation one was Jacob. Generation 2 was Judah. In generation 3 was Zerah (Generation 38:30). In fact, it is mentioned that Tamar bore Zerah (Genesis 38:27-30). However, if this is the same Zerah, his earmarks were that he had affiliations with both the Edomites and the Ishmaelites. What I suggest is that these two supposed Zerahs are the same person that became the clan of the Zerahites. In fact, though Tamar bore Zerah, he was first mothered by Basemath. But, Zerah carries the paternal Y chromosome of Judah conferring the scepter, but due to a conversion he was both an Edomite and a Judahite, and had associations with Ishmaelites. That is that he was mothered by two tribes. So far, I suggest all Zerahites are mothered by two tribes, both Ishmaelite and Judahite, and fathered by two tribes Edomite and Judahite.

It is thought that the marks of an Edomite in today’s society might be such as joining the military. In fact, my father showed military aptitude and served his nation as a Captain in the military elite Special Forces. However, he also possessed some of the earmarks of Jacob as well, as he became a public school teacher. The earmarks of Jacob would be study. Furthermore, I possess the Y chromosome of a Regent, indicating the association of the scepter with my family. Besides the Stewarts, the Hamilton’s are the second noblest clan in Scotland. I mention this because several ancestries of mine go back to Zeus. It is thought that Zeus is a fictional name for the Zerahites.

Additionally, Numbers 26:13 mentions a Zerah of the Israelite tribe of Simon. This is thought to be a third conversion of Zerah, and it is a lifetime journey for each Zerahite to undergo slavery and a wondering in the desert, converting to the tribe of Simon shortly after slavery. First a Zerahite is an Edomite, then he is also a Judahite, and then he is also a Simonite. How can this be? I reason that Abrahamites intermingle. In fact, I suggest that the nation of Abraham is in fact the inhabitants of the USA. What Zerahites end up doing is starting to master Torah, and that this is the way of life for them. This is not to say all Zerahites are righteous (Joshua 7:1). Yet, this is not a call for all people to intermingle. However, some intermingling is thought to be a part of the Torah.

There are yet other occurrences of Zerah of the Bible, but not in the Torah. The book of Ezra knows of a Zerahiah (7:1), whom had also converted to the tribe of Levi. It is not clear if Zerahiah and Zerah are both Zerahites, and this is a place where I need more research. This should be less of a surprise than it really is. Jacob declares Simonites and Levites are a pair (Genesis 49:5), so it would be natural for such a conversion to take place. Additionally, the book of Chronicles lets us know that the Zerahiah of Ezra was of the line of Aaron, and is thus a Cohenim, or a candidate for being the high priest (5:32). Evidence of this would be obeying the command of a Cohen gadol to only marry virgins. Lastly, yet another conversion is made to the Levite clan of Gershon (Chronicles 6:6). What else would you expect from a politician other than affiliations with the various divisions of the clans of Abraham?

2 Chronicles 14:8 lastly mentions “Zerah the Ethiopian.” Perhaps, this individual was a Zerahite, as we know Zeus had African descendents through the Royal House of Thebes through Io, such that Pharoah of the Book of Exodus was probably an African Zerahite, as the scepter of Judah is not reported to have been removed during the enslavement of the Israelites. Zerah the Ethiopian was probably a descendant of Pharoah, such that all the Israelites did not leave during the Exodus, but some of the tribe of Judah remained behind and ruled there. All the attacking Ethiopians where mentioned as having been slain, but this is not to say that all the African Zerahites were on this military campaign. This was during the kingship of Asa, which was after 1,000 BCE, but before CE. Therefore, it should be understood that the word Zerah occurs over the course of thousands of years. There was probably an original founding member. However, this person was probably not Zerah the Ethiopian. Rather, Zerah should be thought of as the Zerahites. And, as they are not mentioned as having died in the JPS Bible, Zerahites are probably still around today. It is thought that when in 167 BCE, when a statue of Zeus was placed in the Holy of Holies it mystically led to Zerahites also being considered Cohenim, and the changing of the name of Zerah to Zerahiah, as only the High Priest is permitted to enter this sacred place. This radical change of Zerah to Zerahiah.

If the legends of Zeus are true, then we should also expect a Zerahite to have relations with Asians as well. Zeus is recorded to have married Europa, an Asian. This was a source for Asiatic nobility. Though I believe most Ishmaelites are currently Muslim, I am currently unsure who the Asians are in the Torah. This is a topic for further research. Personally, I have had relationships with Asians most of my life, as well as some Africans, Jews and Ishmaelites.

Craig HamiltonNote that in 1 Kings 2:10 “Fathers” is plural, suggesting that an individual can have more than one father.

November 19, 2010 at 4:41 pm

Craig HamiltonThe word “Fathers” occurs 508 times in the JPS 1917 Translation.

Craig Hamilton“Who is Zerah? What are the Zerahites?” (October 2010). - There is not necessarily a Zerahite Y chromosome. However, if there is one then it is almost certainly Haplogroup I1. Thus, part of the blog is incorrect, as it was made on the assumption that because Tamar reportedly “bore” Zerah unto Judah, that this meant Zerah had a copy of Judah’s Y chromosome.
