The Quadrilemma: A Look at C.S. Lewis’ Trilemma

The explanation of Jesus was one or more of these things:

Loser - He did not accomplish what he wanted to do for lack of power.

Lord - He accomplished what he aimed to do, though I still can’t figure what that is.

Liar - He was wicked, and started an evil new religion that was only defeated recently with the acts of civil men and civil women.

 

Lunatic - He was mentally ill, and through no fault of his own he created a big mess.
